The Story

A 400 gsm Tigerlily hoodie constructed in our signature, slightly oversized silhouette. The handwoven khaddar fabric patch on the back showcases a collage inspired by midcentury Pakistani art and culture.

The composition is enclosed in a Pakistani postage stamp. At the center is a family portrait of Hafeez Jalandari, the famed urdu poet and father of the national anthem of Pakistan. In the bottom left corner is a newspaper clipping of Dr. Abdus Salam, the first Pakistani to receive a Nobel Prize, for his contributions in the field of Physics, in 1979. To the right, a famous poster from the mid 1960s.

The artwork also includes excerpts from "Aag ka Darya”, the famed 1959 novel by Qurratulain Hyder. Set during the traumatic partition of the indian subcontinent, the book is still revered in both India and Pakistan.
